Cloud Hunter - Sign of Unpeace

Another poem by Józef Olchawa. And another painting of mine, which the poet selected for his own poem. A poem full of surprising twists, paradoxes, and masterful wordplay.

For me, this is a very interesting juxtaposition of words and images, because when I painted "Cloud Chaser," I had something slightly different in mind. But that's precisely the charm of a metaphor in painting: each viewer can infuse it with their own meaning.

A SIGN OF ANXIETY
The mirror tells me I am of exquisite beauty

while in circles close to
I am still considered beautiful because
with limited irresponsibility
I am looking for the third end of the stick.
Society values me irresistibly,
because I enter among my beloved people
I convey to them a sign of unpeace
and bend their paths
They know I have principles of steel
but also acidic reactions,
which cause irritating states
The mirror stubbornly suggests that I am
a beautiful tireless wanderer
from heaven
a bathed messiah for easy times
and that I should not be frightened
by the loneliness of a short-distance runner
waiting with bitterness in my pocket
at the gates of Gomorrah
where the ideal has reached the pavement.
