Portrait of Zygmunt Noskowski

Commissioned by the Music School in Krzeszowice, I painted a portrait of Zygmunt Noskowski, the school's patron. The event coincided with a concert by the Mak Trio, three exceptionally talented siblings: Magdalena Biśta (violin), Karol Biśta (violin), and Aleksandra Biśta (piano). Zygmunt Noskowski was a 19th-century composer, conductor, and teacher, author of, among other works, the symphonic poem "Step" and the overture "Morskie Oko," which I listened to while painting the portrait. Beautiful music, an underappreciated composer! It was "Morskie Oko" that inspired me to create a portrait of the composer against the backdrop of a mountainous landscape, concealing the orchestra's instruments. How many? I don't know; the children present at the concert numbered between nine and twelve...
